PROTECT SURFACES: Ensure you place the vessel onto a heat proof pad, wood, coir or wool coaster, to protect surface below. 

DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED: Also ensure the charcoal is fully extinguished before leaving the room. It will go out on its own, however you can sprinkle water on it to extinguish in a hurry.
